Overview:

You can import prescriptions created in third-party systems directly into Agworld. This allows you to attach them to work orders, approve them for season plans, and manage them alongside prescriptions generated in Express RX or PCT.

Step-by-Step: Import Prescriptions

  1. Start the Import

    • Open the Workflow Prescriptions page.

    • Click the Import button.

  2. Select Files

    • Choose the shapefile(s) that make up your prescription (SHP, SHX, DBF, etc.).

    • Click Next.

  3. Name the Prescription

    • Enter a prescription name.

    • Optional: Rename to match your crop, product, or management convention.

  4. Match to a Field

    • Agworld will attempt to spatially match the uploaded file to a field boundary.

    • Ensure the field boundary already exists in Agworld, otherwise the prescription cannot be associated.

  5. Define Rate Column and Units

    • Select the column in the DBF file that contains your rate values.

    • Specify the correct unit of measure (e.g., pounds, kg, gallons).

  6. Import

    • Click Import to finish.

    • The system will refresh, and the new prescription will appear in your list with the source marked as Manual Upload.

Step 6: Set Input and Approve

  • For imported prescriptions, you must set the input product before approval.

    1. Select the prescription.

    2. Click Set or Change Input.

    3. Choose the correct product from the Agworld database and (optionally) add a price.

  • Once the input is set, mark the prescription as Approved.

Important Notes

  • No Map Preview: Manually uploaded prescriptions do not generate a map image in Agworld.

    • Prescriptions from PCT or Express RX include maps; manual imports do not.

  • Work Orders: Even without a map preview, imported prescriptions can be converted into work orders or recommendations.

  • Consistency: Always confirm units and rates during import to ensure accurate application.
