Exporting Controller Files from the iPad App

Overview

You can export controller files directly from the Agworld iPad app to send them to a machine integration (e.g., John Deere, Slingshot) or transfer them via USB to a display. This makes it easy to move prescriptions into field equipment for execution.

Step-by-Step: Export Controller Files

  1. Open the iPad App

    • Go to the Activities page.

    • Select the correct client and season.

    • Open the prescription work order you want to export.

  2. Access Linked Prescriptions

    • Inside the work order, scroll down to find the option for linked prescriptions.

  3. Choose Export Method

    • Send to Machine Integration:

      • If you have an integration set up, select Send Controller Files.

      • Choose the platform (e.g., John Deere, Slingshot).

      • Requires cellular or Wi-Fi connection.

    • Download to iPad Files:

      • Tap Download Controller Files.

      • Select Save to Files.

      • Optionally rename the file (e.g., “RX”).

      • Choose the folder or structure to save in.

  4. Transfer to USB Drive (Optional)

    • Insert a USB drive into the iPad (via USB-C or Lightning adapter).

    • Save the controller file directly onto the USB.

    • Safely remove the USB and insert it into the tractor or display.

  5. Use in the Field

    • Once transferred, the shapefile is ready to load into the display or monitor for execution.

Quick Checklist (At a Glance)

  1. Open Activities → select Client/Season → open Work Order.

  2. Scroll to Linked Prescriptions.

  3. Export via:
