Quick Pin Drop allows you to set a pin type that you can quickly and accurately drop at your location via a single tap. This is a great way to drop pins on hazards, such as rocks or weeds, when you are moving through a field.
Anyone connected to your Agworld account will have instant visibility of where the pin is located and can add notes to the pin so everyone is on the same page.
First, you need to set a default pin category that will be used for the Quick Pin Drop. Once you have set the default category, you will be able to use the Quick Pin Drop feature.
1) How to set the default pin category:
From the Farm Map screen in the iPad/iPhone app:
Hold your finger for 3 seconds on the farm map screen to drop a pin
Select the "Type" section
Swipe left on a pin category to set the pin type as the default for quick drop
Click back to "Dropped Pin" on the top left to navigate back to the main menu
Click "Cancel" to close the menu
You have now set the default pin type for the quick pin drop feature. You only need to set the default pin once for Agworld to remember your settings. To change the default pin type, refer back to step 1.
2) How to use the Quick Pin Drop feature:
From the Farm Map screen in the iPad/iPhone app:
Turn on your GPS location by selecting the GPS icon in the bottom right corner of the map page (a blue circle should appear on your map screen with your current location)
You will now see a green circle with a pin icon on the bottom left of the map screen:
Tap the green icon to drop a pin at your location
The default pin will be dropped, saved, and assigned a name of "PinCategory (Date, Time)"
Congratulations! You have now dropped a saved pin at your location.
How to disable Quick Pin Drop:
To disable Quick Pin Drop, repeat step 1: swipe left on the default pin category and clear the setting (instead of setting the default pin category).
