How to Set Up a Composite Soil Sample Job in Agworld
This guide shows you how to create a composite soil sample job in Agworld.

1. Start a New Sample Job
Go to Workflow → Sample Collection.
Select the customer and season.
Click Create New to begin the job setup.
From the Job Type dropdown, select Composite.
2. Choose Season, Fields, and Collector
Select the season again.
Choose the field(s) for this job.
Select the collector company.
Enter the collection date.
3. Set Composite Sampling Points
Click the three dots next to a field name.
Select Add a Sample.
Click to add sample points.
Notes:
A composite sample job consists of multiple sample points.
You must add at least one point for each job.
If multiple samples are needed, create additional composite jobs.
You can delete points or drag them to different locations.
4. Select Lab and Job Details
Choose your lab.
If listed: enter your customer account number or purchase order number (optional).
If not listed: choose My lab is not available and upload results manually later.
Add sampling comments for the collector if needed.
5. Confirm Depths and Tests
Check that the sampling depth is correct.
Select the required lab tests.
Add additional depths and corresponding tests if required.
6. Make the Job Available in the App
By default, the new job is created with status Not Ready. To make it available in the Agworld Sampling App:
Go to Workflow → Sample Collection.
Tick the box next to your job.
At the top, choose Bulk Actions → Set as Ready to Collect.
✅ The composite soil sample job is now ready and viewable in the Agworld Sampling App.
How to Take Soil Samples in the Field with the Agworld Sampling App (iPad)
After setting up your collection jobs on the Agworld website, you can complete sampling in the field using the Agworld Sampling App on your iPad.
1. Sync Your Jobs
Open the Agworld Sampling App.
Tap the Sync button (upper right) to make sure jobs created on the website appear in the app.
Tap Back to Jobs.
Tap the menu button (upper left) to view all jobs for all clients, or filter for a specific client.
2. Filter and Select Jobs
Ensure Location Services is turned on.
Filter jobs by To Do, Done, or Assigned User.
Tap the composite job you will be sampling.
3. Review Job Details
On the right-hand side, you can:
View detailed job information.
Redraw the field boundary using a cellular-enabled iPad. Drive around the perimeter for accuracy.
After redrawing, sync your iPad to upload the boundary to the Agworld website.
View and edit comments.
Get directions to the field via Apple or Google Maps.
View lab contact information if you need to reach the lab.
4. Start Sampling
Tap Start Sampling.
If you have a zone layer, toggle it on or off as needed.
Travel to each composite sample location and take your sample cores.
After each set of sample cores:
Scan the barcode.
Move on to the next composite sample (if applicable).
5. Submit to the Lab
When all samples are complete, tap Send to Lab.
Finally, tap Sync to electronically send the lab submission sheet to the lab.
✅ Your soil samples are now recorded in the Agworld Sampling App and submitted to the lab.
